Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center

The 17-acre site is adjacent to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, along MD 335 officially opened on March 11, 2017.  The state park is a key destination for the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway. 


Site features include:

  • Exhibit building, complete with exhibits, research library and gift shop
  • Sculptures of Harriet Tubman
  • Legacy Garden
  • Open-Air pavilion
